The emergency trip valve mainly composed by :main valve( including counterweight device), velocity sensor part (velocity sensor), tube parts, hydraulic system (including the buffer cylinder, oil and oil passage). The results are shown in figure 1. are generally set in underground cellar with pool outlet of underground manhole or distribution pipelines wells. When the downstream distribution pipeline broken and large leak, it can emergency shutoff upstream water distribution pipelines, to minimize the losses, protect people’s lives and property safety, and not wasting water .

When the downstream pipeline substantial leakage due to various causes, because normal water flow velocity value by the spring mechanism , at this time the flow velocity in the tube will greatly exceed the normal hydraulic fluid. At this time the flow velocity sensing rod actuator switching oil passage circuit (see Figure 2), the circuit switched to the main valve closed loop. Under the action of the counterweight, the main valve disc will be closed according to the speed and the two stages of the oil cylinder’s fast and slow stroke, so as to shut off the upstream water quickly and avoid the occurrence of water hammer. When the main valve is completely closed. Use manual hydraulic pump valve ,which is located in the side of the manual operation or portable electric pump, to fully open again.
